On 15th July 2013, Professor Cao Van Phuong – Head of the Board of Directors – Binh Duong University Chancellor officially welcomed and had a meeting with Representatives of South Laos College of Finance. Besides the Chancellor, there were representatives of Binh Duong University participating the meeting including Dr. Nguyễn Thanh Bình – Permanent Deputy Head of the Postgraduate Department – Head of Department of Academic research, Dr. Vo Van Viet – Deputy Head of Academic board, and Mrs Karen Hamilton Nguyễn – Deputy Head of Department of Foreign Affairs.
In regards to representatives of South Laos College of Finance, there were Professor PhengSaVat KEOKHAMPHET – Chancellor, Orlady Chanthavong – Head of Department of Foreign Affairs, and Phetsamay Boutdavong – Head of Department of Planning and Finance visiting and joining the meeting with Binh Duong University.

South Laos College of Finance is a partner of Binh Duong University. For the last few years, both parties have cooperated strategically in exchanging students between two schools. Binh Duong University awarded five scholarships with full- tuition fee of Information Technology courses for five students of South Laos College of Finance who wished to study at Binh Duong University. It is special when Vietnamese name of these five students includes Trường, Đại, Học, Bình, Dương incorporated into the name of Binh Duong University in Vietnamese.

In the meeting, Binh Duong University and South Laos College of Finance have agreed with some issues such as continuing exchange students and staffs between both schools. In regards to the agreement, Binh Duong University shall provide Bachelor’s degree courses for students as well as Master’s degree courses for staffs of South Laos College of Finance.
Hopefully, reinforcement of International cooperative programs between both schools shall help the schools to maintain the relationship and develop.
