BDU Signs an MOU with Kobe University, Japan


On the morning of April 27, BDU signed an MOU with Kobe University, Japan, in Lecture Hall A’s meeting room.

From Kobe University, Japan, were Mr. Shimomura Yuki-President, and Mr. Kobayashi Tetsuya-Assistant, and Ms. Narimatsu Kim Phung-International Relations Department.

From BDU were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh-Vice President, and Mrs. Karen Hamilton Nguyen-Head of Int’l Relations, as well as officers from the school’s faculties, divisions and centers. 

At the signing ceremony, the two sides agreed on potential programs of cooperation, such as exchange of faculty and students, scientific research, training material, culture and arts.

At present, Kobe University has various faculties and a center for preparatory tertiary-admission. Over 150 int’l students come to study every year.  Kobe University supports foreign students in their continued study and seeking jobs in Japan after graduation.

Mr. Shimomura Yuki expects the two sides will proceed to have substantial cooperation after the MOU signing in order to help students, develop the fraternal relationship of education between the two countries.

That afternoon, Kobe University conducted a workshop on overseas study in which they provided much information of its training disciplines, working environment in Japan and procedural preparation for study abroad inJapan.
